Sinopsis

[en] A film poem centered on world-renowned mountaineer Marek Holeček, an intimate reflection on the pull of the vertical world, the search for freedom, and the unending determination to push beyond one’s limits. Eternal Longing follows Marek Holeček on an expedition in the Central Himalaya while returning to the defining moment of his childhood, when he first overcame fear and discovered the path that would shape his life. Interweaving the present with memories, the film becomes a visual meditation on courage, the desire to transcend oneself, and the magnetic allure of the mountains.

[ro] Un film-poem centrat pe alpinistul de renume mondial Marek Holeček, o reflecție intimă asupra atracției lumii verticale, a căutării libertății și a hotărârii neobosite de a-ți depăși limitele. Eternal Longing îl urmărește pe Marek Holeček într-o expediție în Himalaya Centrală, întorcându-se totodată la momentul definitoriu al copilăriei sale, când și-a învins pentru prima dată frica și a descoperit drumul care avea să-i modeleze viața. Împletind prezentul cu amintirile, filmul devine o meditație vizuală despre curaj, dorința de a te depăși pe tine însuți și fascinația magnetică a munților.
